How to edit score descriptions

Editing score descriptions

When you click the Edit button on the main window, the above dialog will appear. Each text box represents the text to display for the score value displayed on its left. For example, in the instance above, the highlighted text in the top box is the text that will be displayed for all scores of 'common'. To change this text, simply click in the box and select the text, and then type your new description and your new text will appear in the box.

To save your changes, click the save button.

How to print scores

You cannot print directly from the Lucid Score Reporter. However, if you wish to print out your score data, choose either the CSV or Tabular report types. Once you have generated one of these files, open it in either Microsoft Excel (the CSV option), or in your browser (the Tabular option), and then print it.

Questions

What is XML?

Extensible Markup Language, abbreviated XML, is a standard for describing data proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Its goals are to provide a straightforward, formal way to describe data. For more information search the Internet for "XML", or visit the W3C web site.

Will I be able to import my report data back to the Lucid Builder?

There is no support for importing your report data into the Lucid Builder. This means that any changes you make to data in the report must be manually entered into the Builder.

Troubleshooting

I get an error message saying I don't have a valid Lucid XML file. What does this mean?

This means that the file you have selected does not conform to the Lucid XML format. The Lucid Score Reporter will only accept files generated from the Lucid Builder tool Lucid2XML. If you have edited this file directly, or generated your own, please check it conforms with the format generated from Lucid2XML.

I get an error message saying I should check the permissions on my file. What should I do?

Either the directory you have chosen to save your report to does not permit you to write to it, or if you are attempting to overwrite a previous file, please check that they have write permission set. You can do this by selecting the file and clicking your right mouse button. Choose "properties" from the popup menu. If the check box "read only" is checked, uncheck it.
