RTF2HTML Converter Licence Agreement

Conditions of use of RTF2HTML Software

  1. By downloading or receiving the software program known as RTF2HTML (the "Software"), or by installing the Software onto any machine, or by using the Software in any way, the User agrees to be bound by the terms of this License Agreement.
     

  2. The User is responsible for ensuring that the terms of the License Agreement are upheld and the User is responsible for any infringement of the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement whether or not the User authorised the infringements of the Licence Agreement.
     

  3. Grant of Licence
    The University of Queensland (the "Owner') grants to you, the Licensee (referred to in this Licence Agreement as the "User"), free of charge, a non-exclusive licence to use the Software on the following terms and conditions:

    The User acknowledges that the User is not entitled to any hard copy documentation, support or telephone assistance from the Owner. Enquiries should be directed to the following website -

  5. Copyright
    (a) Copyright in the Software is and remains the property of the Owner.

    (b) Ownership and related rights in any content accessed through the Software is the property of the applicable content owner and may be protected by applicable law. This Licence Agreement gives you no rights to such content.
     

  6. Transfer Restrictions
    This Software is permitted to be used only by you, the User, and may not be transferred to anyone without the prior written consent of the Owner. In no event shall the User transfer, assign, rent, sell, sub-license or otherwise deal with the Software. The User shall not distribute unauthorised copies of the Software.
     

  7. Other Restrictions
    The User shall not reproduce, format, disassemble, adapt, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, translate, or improve the Software.
     

  8. No Warranty as to Results
    The User acknowledges that the Software is still under development and is supplied on an as-is basis. The Owner does not warrant or make any promise, representation or undertaking regarding the use of, or reliance upon the results of the use of, the Software. In particular, the Owner does not warrant or represent that any results will be correct accurate or reliable. The User acknowledges that the User has relied upon the User's own skill and judgement in deciding to acquire the Software for use by the User and that the User shall use the Software supplied by the Owner at the User's own risk.
     

  9. Liability
    (a) The User acknowledges that no promise, representation, warranty or undertaking has been made or given by the Owner in relation to the profitability of or any other consequences or benefits to be obtained from the delivery, use of or reliance upon the results of the use of the Software or as to its merchantability or its fitness for any purpose.

    (b) Except and to the extent provided in this Licence Agreement, under no circumstances shall the Owner be liable for any injury to person or damage to property or for any financial loss whether direct or consequential (including without limitation any loss of profits) arising from the supply or use of and/or reliance upon the results of the use of the Software.
     

  10. Termination
    This Agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by destroying all copies of Software. This Agreement will terminate immediately without notice from the Owner if you fail to comply with any provision of this Licence Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of Software.
     

  11. Entire Agreement
    This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Owner and the User in relation to the supply and use of the Software.
     

  12. Governing Law
    This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
