Activation

The registration and activation process registers the Fact Sheet Fusion product to you and to the computer on which you first activate the software. Installation on a second computer or by another user is not possible without an additional licence.

Step 1.

When you open Fact Sheet Fusion, you will be given the option to register the software.

If you choose to register later, you can use Fact Sheet Fusion in the unregistered mode. In this mode you can only export:

  • a maximum of 2 topics per fact sheet
  • a maximum of 10 glossary items
  • a maximum of 2 images per fact sheet
  • a maximum of 4 fact sheets

Note that you must be able to connect to the Internet and have a valid email account in order to complete the registration process.

Step 2 - Registering

To register Fact Sheet Fusion, fill out the required details within the dialog. You will be asked to enter your name, a valid email address (this must be the address used when ordering Fact Sheet Fusion; an activation file will be sent to this address), and the serial number (found on the inside of your CD case).

Step 3 - The registration file

Once you have entered the required registration details, Fact Sheet Fusion will create a registration file and display the following message.

Note the location of the registration file (the file is created in the Fact Sheet Fusion installation folder you nominated during installation, the default being "C:\program files\Fact Sheet Fusion"), then click yes. The Fact Sheet Fusion will then attempt to automatically link you to Lucidcentral.org. If for some reason your default web browser fails to load, open your web browser and visit http://www.lucidcentral.org/activation (note: You will then need to login; see below.)

Log into Lucidcentral by entering your email address and password (this will have been given to you when you purchased Fact Sheet Fusion. If you cannot remember your password, enter your e-mail address and click the "email me my password" link).

Once logged in, the Product Activation page will appear. Click the Browse button to select your registration file, and then click Upload and Activate. A copy of your registration file will then be uploaded to Lucidcentral.

Lucidcentral will inform you if the activation process has been successful, and if so will immediately e-mail an activation file to your nominated email address.

When you receive the activation file, close Fact Sheet Fusion, if open, and copy the activation file to the folder where you installed Fact Sheet Fusion. Do not rename or edit this file. When you next open Fact Sheet Fusion it will be fully activated and registered. Keep a copy of the activation file in case you need to re-install Fact Sheet Fusion.
