I like to use the characters smaller than "<" and larger than ">" but only the > sign is shown, the < is hidden becoming visible only when you start to edit the feature's name.

Anyone got a clue how to use both characters?

Hi Edu Boer,

Yes, this can be a catch for new users. The Lucid "labels" for features, states and entities support basic HTML tagging. The less than symbol "<" and greater than symbol ">" need to be entered in their HTML form. E.g. "<" is &lt; and ">" is &gt;

This also means you can achieve things such as italics (<i>italic example</i>) and bold (<strong>bold</strong> or <b>bold</b>).

Cheers,

Matt.

Thanks Matt for your swift reply. The greather than and lesser than characters work all right. html tags do work for new states, features, entities, but the html tags are trimmed when renaming an existing item.

And: the possibility of using html tags is not mentioned in the Help, is it?

regards, Edu

Hi Edu,

You should be able to add HTML tags to an existing label. When renaming a label ensure that the html tagging is correct. That is it has the start and end tags present. Incorrect HTML can cause the label text to disappear, though the text isn't deleted or lost. This is easily edited again by pressing F2 and correcting the problem. Also hit the enter/return key to confirm your edit. If you click to somewhere else during the editing process the changes will not be saved.

Re: Help file. I had though the HTML editing labels was added to the v3.5 help but it seems it was missed. I'll add it in for the next update. Thanks for letting me know.

Cheers,

Matt.
